Modern Skirts Daytrotter Session - Mon. Nov. 7,...
On Monday, November 7th, we’ll be up in Rock Island, IL at the Horseshack recording our first Daytrotter session. They’ll be streaming it live at 1 PM Central, 2 PM Easter Standard TIme, and you can listen live by going to http://bit.ly/t3UYo6 and getting a pass. It’s a big deal for us, so, you know, listen while we do it.

Here’s our Bandcamp where you can quickly, easily, and cheaply purchase our music. AND almost ALL of the money comes to us, so that’s fun. I’m thinking of putting up some digital only releases on our Bandcamp too, when we figure out what recordings we wanna use.

This is out in other places. I wanted it here as well. The video is from Nina Paley’s “Sita Sings the Blues.”

Seeing as how it’s the first of December and it is dreadfully cold here, I thought I would share with y’all a snippet of warmer times in warmer climates. This all happened during downtime in the studio in New Orleans when we were cutting tracks for our new album “Gramahawk” (due out very very soon). Hopefully it warms places on your body that you didn’t know you...

Fish and Game Club
Last night we headed out to the lake and set up a li’l studio. We now have two days to record 49 songs for our Kickstarter backers. We did a quite obscene version of “Itsy Bitsy Spider” then I got chased around the pool by what I was calling “moon trails,” apparently. We’ll get some pictures and videos up soon.

I had kinda forgotten about this part of releasing a record. What fun! Can’t wait for Pitchfork to chew on us again.
